100 under 100

100 under 100

It’s November and we all know what that means – Time to start Christmas Shopping!  (Unless you are like me and shopping doesn’t start until the panic mode of December 23rd hits…).  Well, for those that start early (or even those that start late), I have the perfect gift for everyone on your list this year-original art!  And if you think, “I can’t afford to give original art,” time to think again.  The JoCo Artist Guild currently has a show called “100 under 100″ at the Art Studio and Frame Gallery, located in the Riverwood Cultural Arts Center (100 Cunningham Lane, Suite 105, Clayton, NC 27527).  The exhibit, “100 under 100″ will  present 100 pieces of art for under $100 by JOCO Artists Guild members in a variety of media and styles, to include oil, acrylic, watercolor and mixed media painting, as well as, photography,  pottery and wall sculptures .  So you can find the perfect gift, support local art, AND not spend a fortune!

The “100 under 100″ will run in the gallery from November 3 through December, 2007.  The Art Studio & Frame Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday 11:00am -6:00pm.  For directions or more information about The Art Studio & Frame Gallery call (919) 550-5346.

This sounds and looks great.

There will be a reception on December 7th when Riverwood has it’s Christmas event. Shoppers will have the opportunity to meet the artists.

Excellent! I may just have to check this out for my Christmas shopping this year. Thanks for the tip! :)

Hey, there was a great article in the Smithfield Herald about the show: http://www.theherald-nc.com/arts_entertainment/story/5992.html
